There are various mail programs available to route mail through servers on
the Internet. Sendmail is both one of the most common and one of the most
buggy. For the purposes of this independant study, the sendmail RPM was
installed and left alone.
Many users are not so fortunate as to be able to leave sendmail alone; it
has a large number of bugs that are exploitable by Crackers from the
Internet. Any student planning on routing large amounts of mail using
sendmail through her server is advised to purchase a copy of O'Reilly's
Back to the Table of Contents.
